I thought in honour of the month of LOVE I would blog about my top five songs. The ones I fell in love with the moment I heard them.
*Drum roll* Here they are....
5. Dock of the Bay – Otis Redding
Now this song is a freakin' classic!
I beyond love this song. Whenever I start to feel stressed and like there is just too much to do and there isnt enough time I just close my eyes and imagine sittin' at the Dock of a Bay, watching the tide roll away.
4. Track of my tears - Smokey Robinson
I found this gem; Natasha Bedingfield performing a cover of Track of my tears. The lady absolutely killed it. Check it out
3. Give me love – Ed Sheeran
I was watching Cougar Town this week and the episode ended with this song and that was the moment I fell in love with it. I don’t even know how many times I have listened it now BUT I have now learnt the lyrics. Stage 1 of covering the song done! Stage 2....
I just love the imagery and honesty in the lyrics.
2. Best thing you never had – Beyonce
Now this song is like the anthem of flip offs to every ex who you know made a huge mistake by letting you go and baby you were the best thing he never had. The lyrics are so bitterly honest and definitely speaks volumes to me.
1. Someone that I used to know – Gotye
Yes! Another one for those ex relationships. Raw lyrics, honesty, vulnerabilty; I wish I wrote this one.
What are your top five tracks and why?
